Dominant Performance by Fette in Winnipeg Win
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Calgary Caracals and Winnipeg Goldeyes get after it.
In a tight game between the Winnipeg Goldeyes and the Calgary Caracals, pitcher Paul Fette was terrific on the mound. The Winnipeg right-hander helped his team to the 3-0 win. Gary Ludman collected his 11th save.
The Caracals had trouble solving Fette, who surrendered no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Winnipeg manager Chris Vernon. "It's usually not just one thing."
With the win, Winnipeg raised its record to 47-34.
