Eagles Topple Caracals with Late Rally
The rain did not keep Newark and Calgary from finishing their game.

Starting pitcher Lance Beyer was a major factor in the 5-1 Newark Eagles triumph over the Calgary Caracals. Newark reliever Adam Hall picked up the win, upping his record to 8-2. Josh Stengel shouldered the loss.

Newark used the clutch hitting of Aaron Henke to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Eagles the lead, 3-1. For the game, Henke had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Beyer told the Newark Today.

The Eagles lead the East Division by 4 games.
