5-for-5 Game for Preiser
|
Vacaville second baseman David Preiser had a big day at Goldeyes Park today against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The 25-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led the Steelheads to a 6-2 triumph over Winnipeg.
"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Preiser said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."
David Preiser doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
For the season Preiser is batting .333 with 34 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 12 times and batted in 17.
