Eagles Need Extra Frames to Get Past Capitals
Eric Fales had a good game, but he could not keep the Ottawa Capitals from falling, 6-5, to the Newark Eagles at Eagles Park. The Ottawa left fielder went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 in the loss. Newark reliever Carlos Rojas picked up the win, upping his record to 6-0. Jonathan Walker absorbed the loss. The East Division-leading Eagles have a record of 43-18.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the tenth, with Newark trailing 5-4, Kerry Clark jumped on a first pitch slider from Jonathan Walker for a 2-run home run, sending the Eagles to a walk-off win.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Clark.
