Moose Get One-Run Win at Quebec City
|
The Quebec City Blues got a superb performance from pitcher Mike Vigil, but the Saskatoon Moose still won the game, 3-2. Vigil threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The save went to Mario Estrada, his 4th this season. The Moose are now 31-26, while the Blues fall to 24-33.
Saskatoon relied on the bat of Adam Gemmer to get the win. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Moose ahead, 2-1. For the game, Gemmer had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Curtis Holtz.
