The Saskatoon Moose earned a win at Eagles Park, stopping the Newark Eagles, 5-2. Starting pitcher Rich Geitgey played a big role in his team's success. The Moose raised their record to 30-26.

Caleb Duffey, the 28-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Duffey contributed a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put Saskatoon up, 3-0.
