The Calgary Caracals beat the Ottawa Capitals, 3-2. Calgary pitcher and Buffalo, New York, native Brian Garretson led the way. At 34-21, the Caracals have a slim two-game lead in the West Division.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Capitals allowed the Caracals to score the winning run.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Garretson.
