Blues Drop 7-2 Decision to Lions
|
St. Louis rode a fine outing from starter Brad Kuhlman to victory over the New York City Blues at The Lions Hearth. The final score was 7-2. The 4th-place Blues have dropped 5 straight games.
Mike Bowman dealt the Blues a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and St. Louis leading 1-0, Bowman, who finished 5th in the PBC in doubles with 24 last year, hit a first pitch sinker for a 2-run single.
"It was our day today," Bowman told the St. Louis Chronicle. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
