Allentown Fleetwings starter Bill Ross turned in a top-notch performance against the Calgary Caracals at Fleetwings Ballpark. The result was a win for the Fleetwings, 2-1. Pete Mellema closed the game out for Allentown, earning his 2nd save. The first-place Caracals have lost 5 straight games.

The Fleetwings got a big at-bat from first baseman Willie Aranda. For the game, Aranda was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Allentown a 2-0 lead.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Allentown manager Craig McCain.
