Senators Upend Tigers, 3-1
|
In a low-scoring clash between Albany and Hamilton, pitcher Ralph Naylor was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 win. Adam Booker was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. With the win over Hamilton, the Senators improved to 20-31.
Had Andy Richmond not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Richmond hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Senators.
"Ralph did a tremendous job," said Albany manager John Williams.
