Goldeyes Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Winnipeg got a strong outing from Rhys Fox as the Goldeyes defeated the Quebec City Blues, 3-1, at Quebec City Grounds. Winnipeg reliever Jim Purchase picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Matsuichi Inagawa was saddled with the loss. Winnipeg has now won 5 straight, while the Blues have lost 3 in a row.

Winnipeg used a clutch hit from Giichiro Oka to get the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Goldeyes ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Quebec City manager Curtis Holtz.
