Watson Stars in 6-3 Caracals Win
The Calgary Caracals defeated the Southern California Empires, 6-3, at Empires Stadium. Calgary left fielder John Watson had a superb performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Brent Farwell picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-0. Mike Gaston was tagged with the loss. Calgary has now won 9 straight, while the Empires have lost 3 in a row.

Watson had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-0 fastball from Mike Gaston, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Caracals a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Watson.

"It's great to be on a roll," said Watson.
