Brown, Capitals Too Much for Empires
|
Behind the bravura of shortstop Andy Brown, the Ottawa Capitals topped the Southern California Empires by the score of 6-1. Brown went 4-5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Capitals. The winning pitcher was Jesse McKown. He's now 3-2. He went 6 innings, allowing 1 run on 7 hits for the Capitals. The victory puts Ottawa at 13-24.
Ottawa took a 6-1 lead on Brown's 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Jim Grant in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Ottawa to the win.
