The Southern California Empires downed the Allentown Fleetwings, 6-2, at Empires Stadium. The Empires were led by Dennis Laulainen. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. Southern California pitcher Aidan Kelly got the win, upping his record to 4-1. Flinn Mitchell got the loss. The Fleetwings have now dropped 8 straight.
John Ennis, who leads the in RBI with 31, aided the Southern California cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the third baseman went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ennis told the Southern California Times.
