Blues Win at Allentown, 7-4
|
No one was more impactful than Mike Williams in the 7-4 Quebec City win over Allentown. Williams, who is tied for 8th in the in doubles with 6, was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. Picking up the save was Henry Gonzales, his 1st. The Fleetwings fall to 5-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2002 season.
Antonio Delgado, the 23-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Delgado contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Quebec City up, 4-3.
In postgame comments to the Quebec City Daily News, Williams said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
