The Saskatoon Moose eked out a 2-1 win versus the Edmonton Drillers at Drillers Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Rich Geitgey. He was terrific. The Moose, now 5-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Saskatoon took advantage of an error in the top of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 0-0, when Freek Vos hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Saskatoon in front, 2-0.
"Every loss hurts," said Edmonton manager Ryan Johnson. "But this was a tough one."
