The home crowd had a good time watching the Newark Eagles and Southern California Empires get after it.
Southern California Empires starter Aidan Kelly was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Newark Eagles, 6-1. Southern California, now 6-1, is setting the league on fire so far.
In the bottom of the third, Southern California left fielder Isaiah Dixon had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Dixon stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Southern California. For the game, he went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Dixon told the Southern California Times. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
