Eagles Walk It Off for 1st Win of Season
Newark turned a good effort from starter Adam Hall into a win over the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Eagles Park. The final score was 2-1. Newark reliever Oliver McPeak picked up the win to move to 1-0. Justin Pike suffered the loss. The loss makes Winnipeg 1-1.

Juan Sierra was the walk-off hero for Newark. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Eagles shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

Hall told a Newark Today reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
