San Francisco Loses Again, 4-2
|
The St. Louis Lions beat the San Francisco Peanuts, 4-2, at The Lions Hearth. The win was due in part to center fielder Arthur Hubley, who was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Zack Doyle was called on to finish, recording his 9th save. The current losing streak for San Francisco has reached 9 games.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth when Hubley, who signed a 3-year contract worth $2,650,000 on 01/06/2002, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Lions into the lead, 3-1.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said San Francisco manager Dave Falk.
