Blues Take Down Keystones, 5-3
|
The fans at Blues Field witnessed quite a game.
The New York City Blues topped the Philadelphia Keystones, 5-3, in Professional Baseball Circuit action at Blues Field. The standout performance belonged to New York City pitcher and Luquillo, Puerto Rico, native Tony Castaneda. The 5th-place Keystones have lost 4 consecutive games.
The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the 11th, with New York City trailing 3-2, Vitaliano Brancati jumped on a full count cutter from Bob Copping for a 3-run home run, sending the Blues to a walk-off win.
Castaneda said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
