Blues Top Keystones to Even Record

New York City and Philadelphia duked it out and the Blues came out victorious.
The New York City Blues got a good effort from starter Harrie van Krimpen in defeating the Philadelphia Keystones at Blues Field. The final score was 4-1. van Krimpen, now 6-5, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 10, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Mike Brown picked up the save, his 8th.
The Blues got a big at-bat from shortstop Matt Lopresti. For the game, Lopresti was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave New York City a 2-0 lead.
"Harrie was Harrie," said Blues manager Bill Koepsel. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
At 25-25, New York City is in 5th place in the East Division.
