Keystones Handed 3-2 Loss by New York City
|
The New York City Blues got a stellar effort from pitcher Jonathan Faulk, helping New York City score a win over the visiting Philadelphia Keystones, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Faulk, now 4-1. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 14. Mike Brown picked up the save for New York City, his 7th of the year.
The Blues got an important contribution from left fielder Vitaliano Brancati, who in the bottom of the first punched a 1-0 sinker into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Blues ahead, 3-0.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Faulk.
New York City is now 24-25, while Philadelphia is 25-23.
