Peanuts Take Tight Tilt
|
The San Francisco Peanuts picked up a win at Electric Kool-aid Baseball Park, knocking off the St. Louis Lions, 3-2. Starting pitcher Earl Dunbar played a key role in the triumph. Dunbar picked up the win for San Francisco, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Jeremy Tomlinson earned the save for San Francisco, his 1st of the year.
With the game tied, 0-0, in the bottom of the fifth, Dunbar had a key at-bat for San Francisco. With the bases loaded, Dunbar, who finished 3rd in the PBC in ERA with 2.43 last year, hit a 2-run single off Brad Kuhlman, making the score 2-0, Peanuts.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Dunbar.
The Peanuts, now 4-1, have been playing some good baseball.
