The St. Louis Lions topped the Boston Shamrocks by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to left fielder Mike Bowman. Bowman went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Lions on the day. St. Louis is now 23-21.

Bowman contributed in the bottom of the third. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped St. Louis get the win.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Bowman told the St. Louis Chronicle. "Whatever it takes."
