Getting a good performance from first baseman Angel Arzola, the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the St. Louis Lions, 7-6. Arzola went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blackhawks. Chicago pitcher Jacob Simpson got the win, upping his record to 3-3. Josh Wickware got the loss. The triumph puts Chicago at 22-18 for the season.

Arzola contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Chicago in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Arzola took a fastball from Aarnoud Sparreboom and stroked the home run to right. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Blackhawks to leap in front, 3-1.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Arzola.
