Keystones Lose, 3-1, at Cutter's Cove

Despite the rain, the fans at Cutter's Cove enjoyed a good ballgame.
Denver Cutthroats starter Francisco Carreno was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Philadelphia Keystones, 3-1. The winner was Manny Sanchez in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Matthew Steele took the loss. Steve Palermo earned the save, his 4th, for the Cutthroats.
In the bottom of the sixth, Denver left fielder Harry Foster put his team on top. With two out and a runner on 2nd, he hit his 2nd home run of the year. Philadelphia pitcher Matthew Steele served it up. Just like that, the Cutthroats were ahead, 2-1.
Foster said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The win puts Denver at 14-22.
