Quezada Lifts Keystones to 7-5 Triumph
|
Philadelphia and Denver duked it out and the Keystones came out victorious.
The Philadelphia Keystones defeated the Denver Cutthroats, 7-5. Doing his part was catcher David Quezada, who went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Chris Kaplan recorded the save for Philadelphia, his 10th of the season.
Philadelphia took advantage of an error in the top of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 5-5, when James Queen hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put Philadelphia in front, 6-5.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Queen told the Philadelphia Herald. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
With the win, Philadelphia raised its record to 18-15.
