Arzola PBC Selection for 2001 Hitter of the Year Award Sunday, October 14th , 2001 Angel Arzola of the Chicago Blackhawks proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Professional Baseball Circuit Hitter of the Year Award. Arzola hit for a .323 average while collecting 110 hits, 20 doubles, 2 triples, 21 home runs, 49 RBIs and scoring 52 times. Zack Taylor of the Detroit Motors finished second in voting, while Eddie Stevenson of the Washington Warriors finished third. |
