Dallas Sold to Jordan Belcher Sunday, October 14th , 2001 There is a sense of unease in certain parts of the Dallas sports community following the sale of the Dallas Texans. Former owner Dusty Anderson, well-known to Dallas, has sold the team to eccentric industrialist Jordan Belcher. Belcher tried to reassure Texans season ticket holders that he wants to win. "I want to make the best team I can. I'm going to find everything that's wrong with the team and fix it," he said. "I know that things are stacked against us. If something is important enough, even if the odds are against me, I'm going to do it." Belcher is said to be a lenient character, with a fiscal personality of controlling. The Texans finished the regular season with a 44-44 record, first place in the West Division. |
