Denver Won't Make Playoffs Sunday, September 23rd , 2001 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Denver might have envisioned. The Denver Cutthroats were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Professional Baseball Circuit and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Cutthroats manager Joe Peters. This is the first time that the Cutthroats have missed the playoffs. Denver last won the Pro Circuit Cup in 2000. |
