McIntosh Dominates Blackhawks Tuesday, August 7th , 2001
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Chicago Blackhawks as starter Eric McIntosh shut out the Chicago Blackhawks 1-0 at Peanuts Stadium. The San Francisco pitcher struck out 6 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits.
"McIntosh was good but he wasn't flawless," Chicago manager Andrew Galvin said later. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from San Francisco, but this is on us."
McIntosh has gone 5-6 this season with an ERA of 3.25 and 60 strikeouts in 72 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .241 against him.
