Lions Win 4-2 Walk-Off
|
The St. Louis Lions electrified the home crowd with a walk-off win.
Mike Bowman impressed in the 4-2 St. Louis win over Houston. Bowman, who is tied for 7th in the PBC with a .304 batting average, went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner was St. Louis reliever Zack Doyle, now 3-4. The loser was Tim Essenburg.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Bowman hit a changeup from Tim Essenburg for a 2-run home run. The Lions, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Bowman.
St. Louis has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
