Denver Tags Dallas with 4-1 Defeat

The Denver Cutthroats went home winners at Texans Park, thanks in large part to starter Pat Winston. Winston stifled the Dallas Texans, enabling Denver to grab the 4-1 win. Winston got the win, improving to 7-9. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 7.2 innings. Winston allowed 1 run. Ruben Wirtz notched his 8th save in 10 chances.
Denver used the bat of Julian Arebalo to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cutthroats ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Winston told the Denver Observer.
Denver is in last place in the West Division with a record of 32-44.
