The Lions grabbed a win, 4-2, at Lions Field, overcoming a fine effort from Washington pitcher Jose Martinez. Martinez went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Ricky Wilson was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 7 hits, with 5 walks and 4 strikeouts. Scott Daniels closed it out for his 3rd save.
In the bottom of the fifth, with the game tied, Washington allowed the Lions to go up, 3-2, on a Washington error.
