Lions Lose at Home, 6-3, to Boston
|
Boston Shamrocks starter Miguel Miron was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the St. Louis Lions, 6-3. Willie Cantu closed it out for his 9th save. At 19-28, the Shamrocks find themselves in last place in the East Division.
Boston used a well-timed hit by Luca McDonnell to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Shamrocks ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Miron. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
