The Boston Shamrocks defeated the Detroit Motors, 6-5, in Professional Baseball Circuit action at Shamrocks Ballpark. Boston pitcher Bob Copping had a standout performance. Boston reliever Tony Sunderman was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Phil Knobbe took the loss for Detroit. Boston is now 18-24, while Detroit is 23-19.

Jason Buckner hit a 2-run double off Phil Knobbe in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Shamrocks in front, 5-4. In addition to the double, Buckner had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

In postgame comments to the Boston Herald, Copping said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
