Warriors Stun Shamrocks, 5-3

The Washington Warriors defeated the Boston Shamrocks, 5-3, at Warriors Park. Washington left fielder Eddie Stevenson had a superb performance. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. David Haraway earned save number 11 this season. The win for the Warriors raised their record to 19-18.
Washington took advantage of an error in the bottom of the eighth inning. The game was tied, 3-3, when Tyler Ferguson hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Washington in front, 5-3.
"We'll put that win in the can," said Stevenson, "and go after the next one."
