Hafer K's 10 En Route to 2-0 Blackhawks Win
|
Nick Hafer was outstanding against St. Louis. The left-hander, who is tied for 4th in the PBC with a 6 quality starts, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Blackhawks 2-0 win. Edwin Quevedo was called on to finish, recording his 10th save. The win puts Chicago at 19-14 this season.
Hafer earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Chicago. The left-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 10. St. Louis hitters had little success against him.
Hafer attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
