Shamrocks Deal Blues 5-4 Defeat
Behind a solid performance from center fielder Dan Stricklin, the Boston Shamrocks defeated the New York City Blues, 5-4. Stricklin was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Shamrocks. John Schukraft picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Mike Vigil was tagged with the loss. Earning his 25th save for Boston was Ruben Wirtz.

Ross Dowty, the 23-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Dowty contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the seventh inning to put Boston up, 5-4.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said New York City manager Brian Kelly. "The effort was great."

With the win, Boston upped its record to 45-43.
