Knights Fall Short, 5-4, at St. Louis
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the St. Louis Lions and Los Angeles Knights.
The St. Louis Lions scored a tight 5-4 win versus the Los Angeles Knights at Lions Field. St. Louis pitcher Miguel Miron held his own in the contest. Zack Doyle was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 18 of 20 save opportunities.
Willie Zamora, who is tied for 3rd in the PBC in RBI with 54, chipped in for St. Louis with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Zamora.
Their 39-40 record puts the Lions 5th in the West Division.
