Shamrocks Come Up Short at San Francisco, 4-3
|
The San Francisco Peanuts beat the Boston Shamrocks, 4-3. San Francisco pitcher and Winter Gardens, California, native Brian DeGrasse led the way. Chris Kaplan earned the save for San Francisco, his 19th. San Francisco now has a 3-game win streak.
San Francisco catcher Brett Spivey contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter into center field for a 2-run single. It was his 7th hit of the season and put the Peanuts ahead, 4-0.
"We did enough to win," said DeGrasse.
