Warriors Beat Texans, 9-5

The Washington Warriors defeated the Dallas Texans, 9-5, at Warriors Park. Washington left fielder Eddie Stevenson had a superb performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times. Washington reliever Corey Ferrari picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Tony Vadi took the loss. Washington, with the win, climbs to 20-39.
With two out in the bottom of the first, Bob Hartman put Washington in front, 4-2, with a 2-run single. The Warriors went on to win the ballgame.
"We'll savor this win," Hartman told the Washington Times, "then get ready for the next game."
