The New York City Blues stopped the Detroit Motors, 4-2, at Blues Field. The Blues got a big game from Taylor Nahrgang, who was 3-3 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mike Vigil recorded the save, his 1st. With the win, the Blues sit at 20-20.
Nahrgang contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for New York City in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Nahrgang took a fastball from Dustin Clark and stroked the home run to center. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Blues to leap in front, 3-2.
"Bottom line," said Detroit skipper Herb Despain, "we didn't play well enough to win."
