Stokes Delivers Walk-Off Win for Texans
|
The Dallas Texans and Philadelphia Keystones put on a pitchers' duel.
Dallas Texans right-hander Francisco Carreno pitched a good game against the Philadelphia Keystones at Texans Park, leading his team to victory, 2-1. Dallas reliever Erik Nester was the winner. His record is now 2-3. Eric Kolbe took the loss.
Johnny Stokes was the walk-off hero for Dallas. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Texans shortstop hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Stokes said.
The victory puts Dallas at 12-22.
