Peanuts Topple Knights with Late Rally
|
Getting offensive support from Cody Moroney, the San Francisco Peanuts topped the Los Angeles Knights, 4-3. Moroney went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Peanuts. San Francisco reliever Jack Murphy picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Ricky Wilson shouldered the loss. Chris Kaplan earned the save, his 7th, for the Peanuts.
Jamie McCartney aided the San Francisco cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Los Angeles manager James Walker. "The effort was great."
San Francisco is 13-10 and Los Angeles, with the loss, 10-13.
